# Common Issues in Literature Management

# Does ivySCI support split-screen reading?

Partial support.

The main interface and the following interfaces support split-screen:

  • ivyWrite note page
  • ivyPilot interface (Ctrl U can be used to call)

However, the main interface itself does not support split-screen on the computer. We open multiple tabs to view different literature.

We have plans to support split-screen on the main interface in the future, but it will take time to develop.

iPad itself supports split-screen, please refer to how to operate on iPad for specific instructions.

The split-screen experience may not be very good on Android Pad.

# Can it be used in conjunction with Zotero?

It depends on how you use it, but overall, it is not well supported.

Zotero is a very complex software, and ivySCI and Zotero have their own focuses. We do not want users to spend a lot of time on literature management.
Instead, we hope that users can spend more time reading literature, taking notes, and organizing them into articles.

However, you can still use Zotero. For example, you can keep all your collected literature in Zotero and then migrate important literature to ivySCI.

# Does it support Caj files?

It does not support Caj files, but it is not necessary to use the Caj format because after being investigated and rectified by the State Administration for Market Regulation, CNKI provides PDF files for each master's and doctoral thesis. You can directly download the PDF from CNKI.
